The Family Folk Chorale plans a concert at 4 p.m. Sunday Nov. 20 at Arlington's town hall, 730 Mass. Ave. Scheduled to perform are  Rani Arbo & Daisy Mayhem along with members of the Family Folk Chorale itself. Tickets are priced at $18 for adults and $14 for children and senior citizens.CroppedOptimized200FFCLogo.jpg

According to Wikipedia, "Rani Arbo and the band Daisy Mayhem, consisting of Andrew Kinsey, Anand Nayak and Scott Kessel, are an American musical group whose style combines folk, country blues, progressive bluegrass, jazz and swing. Arbo and Kinsey were formerly members of Salamander." The band put out seven albums between 2001 and 2016.

Per its website, the New England- based folk quartet is now in its 20th year.

About the group to perform later this month, "From the Newport Folk Festival to California World Music Festival and beyond, this band’s steadfast brew of wit, camaraderie and musicality leaves audiences everywhere humming and hopeful, spirits renewed.  They join the 70 voice Family Folk Chorale for an afternoon of unforgettable uplift and music making," the organization's website says.

Of the locally based group, the website states, "The Family Folk Chorale, Boston area’s premier intergenerational chorus, is led by award-winning Artistic Director Chris Eastburn.  The 'Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem band will be joined by FFC band members including Gary Backstrom, front man of the legendary jam band Jiggle the Handle, and his son Jonah Backstrom.  Family Folk Chorale concerts are perfect for people of all ages – we provide lyrics, opportunities to sing and dance along, and a floor seating area up front for young children."
