Arlington Democrats are invited to attend a virtual caucus on Thursday, June 1, at 7 p.m., to elect 36 delegates and six alternates to the 2023 Massachusetts Democratic Convention.

At this year's state convention, planned for Saturday, Sept. 23, in person at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, thousands of Democrats from across the state plan to gather to discuss the critical issues facing the people of the commonwealth and to set an agenda for the party in the year ahead.

(Note that Arlington's Town Day is also set for Sept. 23.)

 Zoom participants will receive a personalized link and passcode to the Zoom caucus in an email, which should be kept. Virtual doors will open June 1 at 6:30 p.m.; those involved encourage registrants to arrive early. Everyone who is in the waiting room by 7:15 p.m. will be admitted, officials said.

Democrats in Arlington who have registered or preregistered by May 23 may vote and be elected as delegates or alternates during the caucus. Preregistered Democrats must be at least 16 years old by May 23, 2023.

Youth (age 16 to 35), people with disabilities, people of color and members of the LGBTQIA+ community not elected as delegates or alternates are encouraged to apply to be add-on delegates at the caucus or by visiting massdems.org/massdems-convention.
