The Philharmonic Society of Arlington hosted an open rehearsal on Wednesday, Aug. 30 at First Parish Unitarian Universalist, 630 Mass. Ave. 

Any musician in town was invited to join the local symphony orchestra at the rehearsal with Music Director Orlando Cela. Selections from the composers Rimsky-Korsakov and Shostakovich were played.

The orchestra has openings in the percussion and string bass sections for the 2023-24 season, with opportunities to substitute in all other sections.
