Heath Dill

An Arlington resident who nearly doubled his target to raise money to write a cookbook with recipes based on J.R.R. Tolkien's works has launched a website and hopes his book will be published in August.

Heath Dill, with a taste for puns, created www.dilliciousfoods.com, where hungry surfers can see some of the recipes, and where, if you're interested in a print copy, you can order the book.

"I did promise to publish every recipe from the cookbook on the website for everyone to see," he wrote the Arlington List on April 12, "so you won't be missing out if you'd prefer to stick with the free online version."

He said he expects other recipes posted -- he aims for twice a week -- "for a good long time."

Some follow a Tolkien theme; others "will just be good food that hopefully everyone will enjoy, along with some helpful cooking tips and tricks." Example: one for Chinese Five Spice Smashed Potatoes.
