Sarah Rieber Aloisi

Tufts Health Plan has announced the promotion of Arlington resident Sarah Rieber Aloisi, MPH, to director of contracting strategy and analytics.

In her new position, Aloisi is responsible for collaborating with providers through innovative partnerships to manage the cost of care. Tufts aims to design appropriate, value-based contracting models and support providers after they've adopted these models to improve quality, coordination of care and cost.

Aloisi joined Tufts Health Plan in 2004 as a health-care analyst focusing on provider contracts and reimbursement in support of contract negotiations before she was promoted to contract manager of network contracting in 2008.

Last year, Aloisi was promoted to manager of commercial contracting, where she has been responsible for developing strategy, designing and interpreting analytics, and leading negotiations for physicians and hospitals in the Tufts Health Plan provider network.

Before joining Tufts Health Plan, Aloisi held research positions at Innovative Health Solutions in Brookline and Children’s Hospital Boston.

Aloisi earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and psychology at Hamilton College, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

She completed a master of public health at Boston University School of Public Health with a dual concentration in maternal and child health biostatistics.

Aloisi has published numerous papers in respected health journals, such as JAMA, the Journal of the National Medical Association, and Maternal and Child Health Journal. She serves as a contributing editor for Pediatrics in Practice
