UPDATED, Sept. 7: Did you miss Boston Women's Market when it made its first appearance in July? An estimated 500 showed up.

You had a second chance, at Uncle Sam Plaza/Arlington visitors' center at Mystic and Mass. Ave. Because of the forecast, the event was rescheduled a day later, to Sunday, Sept. 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cara Loffredo, cofounder of Boston Women's Market, wrote Thursday, Sept. 5: "After looking at Saturday's forecast, we have decided to move our market to its rain date of Sept. 8. We thought the rain was going to be cleared early morning, but now they are saying it's going to linger until 11ish with winds."

Pets are welcome at the family-friendly affair.
