UPDATED May 6: The Boston chapter of Les Dames D'Escoffier is scheduled to present "Dame Delicious, An Evening of Culinary Adventures," at Arlington Town Hall on Friday, April 28, from 5 to 9 p.m.
The gala event is set to feature women-owned restaurants, artisan food makers, wine and spirits tastings, author signings and boutique shopping and promises an opportunity to sample, sip, learn and shop, a news release said.

Individual tickets are $35, and a "six-pack" is $200. Proceeds will benefit Food Link in Arlington, among other organizations.
At the gala event, attendees will be able to enjoy wine and spirits tastings and culinary book signings. A 12-foot Grand Grazing Board features New England companies and farms including Cabot Cheese, Effie’s Oatcakes and Whole Foods.
Those there can also sample dishes from award-winning restaurants, including Tiffani Faison’s Big Heart Hospitality Group, Pagu (Tracy Chang), Tambo 22 (Taylor Corcoran), Gustazo (Patricia Estorino), Daily Catch (Maria Freddura), Farmer’s Daughter (Chandra Gouldrup) and Town Meeting Bistro (Trisha Pérez Kennealy).

Event features panels and demos
Those present will have the opportunity to learn current trends in indoor and outdoor entertaining design from a panel of experts including Jenn Nawada, landscape contractor on "This Old House" and "Ask This Old House"; Christine Tuttle of Christine Tuttle Design and designer for "This Old House"; and Karin Lidbeck-Brentand, stylist, designer, editor, and DIY expert. The panel moderator is to be Tess Woods, publisher, Modern Luxury Interiors Boston.
Attendees can learn to level up an ordinary cheese plate to a spectacular entertaining board with tips from Elle Simone Scott of America’s Test Kitchen, author of Boards. Chef demos will include Italian Desserts, Foods of the Azores and Spice Blends from Around the World. Attendees will meet women food makers, jewelry and home goods crafters, travel tour leaders and others to learn about their products and services.
The evening also features raffle and silent auction prizes including a signed Julia Child apron, hotel getaways, dinners, a private wine-tasting party, golf at exclusive courses and food-and-wine packages.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Les Dames Culinary Adventure Awards, which help promising culinary students fulfill their career dreams. A donation will also be made to Food Link in Arlington; Food Link rescues surplus nutritious food to distribute to low-income individuals experiencing food insecurity.
Les Dames d'Escoffier Boston, the host of the "Dame Delicious" event, is a professional organization for women in the food, beverage and hospitality career fields. In 1991, Les Dames Boston was incorporated into Les Dames d’Escoffier International (LDEI), an international organization of women leaders in food, beverage and hospitality. LDEI has more than 2,400 members in 43 chapters worldwide and has raised more than $10 million for community non-profits and philanthropic organizations, organizers said.
