Minuteman rendering 400 121418

UPDATED Sept. 12: Minuteman School Committee was scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept.12, in person only, in the Paul Revere Room at Minuteman High School, 758 Marrett Road, Lexington.

The agenda is here >> and the committee's website can be found here >>

The committee has aYouTube pagewhere recordings of meetings are often posted a few days later. In the recent past, it was possible to "attend" committee meetings virtually in real time via Zoom; YourArlington has inquired as to why this hybrid modality is apparently no longer in use.

Some 200 Arlington teens are enrolled in the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School District, which serves  nine municipalities.

According to its agenda, the meeting is planned to end with an executive session and not to return to open session for the following reasons

a.  Pursuant to M.G.L.c.30A, Section 21(a)(2) for the purpose of discussing strategy as it relates to contract negotiations with non-union personnel: Superintendent/Director;

b. Pursuant to Purpose 7; M.G.L .c. 30A, §21(a)(7) to comply with, or act under the authority of, any general or special law, specifically M.G.L. c. 30A, §22(f) and §22(g), regarding approval of executive session minutes and review of executive session minutes for release or continued non-disclosure, specifically, minutes for the executive session held from executive sessions held by the School Committee on April 11, 2023, and from May 31, 2023 to August 29, 2013.

This agenda item was published Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, based on information from the Town of Arlington website. It was updated Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023, to note that the meeting is in-person-only -- rather than being hybrid (using Zoom) as in the recent past.
